CERAMICS WORKSHOP: PRIMAVERA A COLORI

 with Elisa Ceramics

Discover the pleasure of creating with your hands in a ceramics workshop. After a brief introduction to the main hand-building techniques, each participant will create their own clay piece, giving free rein to their creativity. You will then move on to decoration: your piece can be embellished with flowers and leaves of your choice, and coloured using pigments specially designed for fresh clay. The finished pieces will then be taken to the studio, where they will undergo double firing in the ceramic kiln and will be ready for collection in approximately three weeks. A creative and relaxing experience exploring the world of ceramics and taking home a unique, handmade object.

"Le Stanze di Luchino Visconti" celebrates the history of a residence that has long stood as a symbol of cultural prestige and vitality. The project — the result of a careful process of reinterpretation and enhancement of the original rooms — interweaves the story of the villa with the lives of those who inhabited it, giving voice to the people who once called it home. Through cutting-edge digital technologies — immersive projections, video mapping and spatial sound — six historic rooms on the first floor of the Ancient Villa are transformed into a narrative and sensory journey, evoking emotions, impressions and images that span the life and work of the director, as well as the identity of the villa itself. Not simply an exhibition, but a true visual and sonic narrative that restores depth and new vitality to a place steeped in history, offering the public a contemporary, accessible and engaging experience. Creative direction and content production are by OLO Creative Farm; the technological installation was developed by Neo Tech srl. The voices accompanying visitors are the result of the combined work of Stefano Dragone (Italian version) and Peter Baker (English version); sound design is by Massimo Colombo; texts are by Joao Maria Figueira.

Nicola d'Auria (2001) is a vibraphonist, percussionist and drummer active on the Italian jazz and contemporary music scene. A graduate with highest honours from the "G. Verdi" Conservatory of Music in Milan, he has distinguished himself as a solo vibraphonist, winning the 16th edition of the Premio Nazionale delle Arti and the "Tomorrow's Jazz" award promoted by Veneto Jazz. He has furthered his training through masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists David Friedman, Jerry Tachoir and John Beck. He collaborates with notable ensembles and orchestras, including the National Jazz Orchestra of Italian Conservatories, the Verdi Jazz Orchestra and the contemporary music ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi, with whom he has performed Steve Reich's Music for Eighteen Musicians at prestigious events such as the Roma Europa Festival and the Teatro Argentina. Throughout his career he has performed in prestigious venues and festivals, including the Blue Note Milano, alongside artists such as Fabrizio Bosso, Ingrid Jensen, Elliot Mason and Marshall Gilkes.

Everything around us is crossed by passages. Every passage has shape and colour, beauty and randomness, a beginning and an infinity. Traces, footprints that chase and transform one another. Lines that knot and intertwine, creating bonds and memory. Glints of light between the waves of the lake, foamy trails in motion, wisps of shifting clouds, sighs of wind through the leaves, furrows in the earth and on the skin. Everything around us is crossed by passages. Everything within us is crossed by passages. Faces, memories, places, encounters, voices, smiles, enchantments. Let us be enchanted, then, as we observe patches of colour, chance marks, light impressions left on paper by leaves, flowers, traces of wine and coffee, smears of lipstick, toothpaste… Let us find who is playing hide-and-seek with us in these colourful forms and bring them to life with pencils, markers, charcoal and pastels. Let us discover traces.

A journey into the history and elegance of 1930s Milan — a story woven between reality and imagination, a narrative celebrating the courage of the women who defined an era. All this and more awaits in Finché tutto splende, the novel that tells the story of the Necchi sisters, heirs to an industrial dynasty from Pavia, and of the project that gave life to one of Milan's most iconic homes, still today a symbol of modernity and elegance. During the talk, the author — who writes on cultural themes for Corriere della Sera and L'Espresso and is a commentator on the RAI 3 and RAI Storia programme Passato e Presente — will guide the audience through the pages of her novel, exploring how the historical reality of the Necchi sisters intertwines with her imagination to create a captivating story of success, heartbreak and unexpected twists.

A one-hour workshop dedicated to music and movement, led by Luca Ghioldi, an expert in music pedagogy. Through games and body activities, participants will discover the story and music of Rigoletto, the famous opera by Giuseppe Verdi, experimenting with active listening exercises in a fun and engaging way. During the workshop, participants will also learn some choruses in order to take an active part in Gilda. With Liberty di Ghiaccio the Municipality of Cernobbio presents a new winter exhibition where art, design, and memory intertwine with the charm of the Belle Époque, creating a narrative of elegance, movement, and transformation.

Villa Bernasconi becomes a winter landscape suspended in time, reaffirming its nature as a home: a space to inhabit, explore, and listen to. Its rooms welcome visitors into a continuous dialogue between past and present. Contemporary creativity meets the sinuous forms of Liberty style through Medea 1905 furnishings and new Liberty London wallpapers. A precious collection of vintage postcards and photographs from the Arte Nova Foundation accompanies visitors on a visual journey from the late 19th to the early 20th century, when skating was a collective ritual and a recurring image in the European winter imagination.

On display is also a speed skating racing suit from the exhibition Stoffe da Campione, organized by the Silk Museum of Como in collaboration with Tessitura Taiana Virgilio.

The experience is enriched with sensory suggestions and centers on the solo exhibition by Silvia Di Pasquale, VIBRAZIONI OLIMPICHE, curated by GALP Gallery of Cernobbio, where the movement of sport becomes form, rhythm, and visual energy.

Liberty on Ice is part of the Milan Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad and the program created for the occasion by the Coordination of Villas and Museums of Lake Como.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE EXHIBITION “VIBRAZIONI OLIMPICHE”

Silvia Di Pasquale’s sculptures do not depict anatomy, but movement: the body as energy in continuous transformation. Light lines, open surfaces, and structural voids shape volumes crossed by gesture, where matter seems to step back to make space for dynamism.

In the hall of Villa Bernasconi, these works enter into a natural dialogue with the Liberty style language, made of fluid curves, momentum, and continuity. As in the villa’s wrought iron and decorative elements, the line does not confine but accompanies, suggesting movement unfolding seamlessly in space.

In this exhibition, the theme of the Olympics becomes a privileged lens through which to reflect on athletic gesture as a synthesis of technique, discipline, and expressive tension. The represented disciplines—skiing, curling, snowboarding, freestyle skiing, and skating—are not conceived as competitive events, but as structures of movement defined by trajectories, rhythms, and relationships between body and space.
